Facebook Graph Search: What about all those fake people?

Facebook has just launched a new version of search on the site called Graph Search. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced Graph Search as the ‘third pillar’ of Facebook, and it aims to offer you personalised results based on friends, cities, places, and interests. Zuckerberg also emphasised that making new connections was important and Graph Search would help you do that.
So say you work in a particular place and want to find other people who work there and add them on Facebook? The discovery can lead to some hilarious results.
TechCrunch columnist, MG Siegler has shared information about some very interesting co-workers at the popular tech website. Siegler posted a series of tweets with pictures of screengrabs from these obviously fake profiles.
We’ve taken a collection of his tweets and put them together. Some claim to be TechCrunchCEO’s, while someone is a STG (only he knows what that means).
Graph Search.
Fake profiles are a big problem for Facebook and many have often wondered how many of the 1 billion profiles belong to real people. Also in this case one is not sure if people are just lying in their profiles or creating fake ones.
Well the new graph search might just make it easier to find them.
